The Center for Teaching & Learning is proud to report that 252 undergraduate students were involved in 14 integrated service-learning projects and 1 Service-Learning Advantage project during the 2007-2008 academic year. Students' involvement in these projects resulted in a total of 4,478 hours of service donated to Adair and Sullivan Counties. The dollar-worth of these students' efforts, if calculated using the $6.50 rate of minimum wage, is equivalent to $29,107.00 that was donated to our communities. We would like to extend our gratitude to the AmeriCorps*VISTA member for Service-Learning who assisted with and coordinated the majority of the service-learning projects that took place on our campus.
